This FRUCTOSE FRIENDLY CHOCOLATE GINGERBREAD SLICE goes out to all our sugar-conscious customers who want a (semi) sweet treat without the guilt. With lovely warming spices, this slice is the perfect winter snack. Nb. This slice is not overly sweet – add extra rice malt syrup if you’d prefer it on the sweeter side. 


  • 1 cup coconut threads*
  • 2 cups almonds*
  • 2 cups pecans*
  • ¾ cup Goodies rice malt syrup*
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla powder*
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger*
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves*
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg*
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon*
  • Pinch salt*
  • ½ cup Goodies organic coconut oil*
  • ½ cup cacao powder*
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla*
  • 1 cup Goodies rice malt syrup*
  • Pinch salt*

  1. Put dry gingerbread ingredients in a food processor & process until a bread crumb-like texture is achieved. Add rice malt syrup & process for a few seconds, until combined.
  2. Line a baking tray with plastic wrap. Press gingerbread batter firmly into the tray & try to get it flat & even on top.
  3. For the chocolate, put all ingredients in a small double boiler & whisk until combined.
  4. Pour the chocolate over the gingerbread batter & spread out evenly. Put slice in the fridge or freezer to set. When firm, cut into bars. Enjoy! Store in the fridge.
