Oven Roasted Asian Tofu

Sometimes easy meals are the best meals & this week’s recipe uses pantry staples so you can create a flavoursome sauce in no time! Tofu is the perfect ‘sponge’ for this mild Asian-style sauce & we’re sure it will be especially popular with the kids! Marinate tofu overnight for best results.


  • 1 packet The International Organic Society extra firm organic tofu, sliced*
  • 1 tablespoon Goodies & Grains sesame oil*
  • 2 tablespoons Nuilife coconut BBQ sauce*
  • 2 tablespoons Nuilife coconut aminos *
  • 2 cm knob ginger, grated
  • 2 bulbs garlic, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper*
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup*
  • 1 tablespoon Cortas pomegranate molasses*
  • Juice of 1 orange*
  • ¼ cup filtered water
  • Pinch salt*

  • In a medium-sized bowl whisk together sauce ingredients. 
  • Add the tofu, making sure all pieces are covered with the sauce. Let marinate in the fridge for up to one day.
  • Preheat oven to 200°C. Place tofu evenly on a baking tray & drizzle some of the marinade over the top. Let roast in oven for 8-10 mins or until golden. Flip tofu over & continue roasting for another 8-10 mins.
  • Serve as a side dish with roasted veg. Alternatively, use the marinade as a delicious Asian stir-fry sauce!
