Flaked Quinoa Porridge

It’s cooling down & what better way to start your morning than with a steaming hot bowl of FLAKED QUINOA PORRIDGE? A commonly asked question at Goodies is, “What are quinoa flakes & what can I do with them?” Quinoa flakes are made by steam-rolling the whole quinoa. They can be used as you would regular rolled oats; in cereal, muesli bars or as a delicious, creamy porridge as per this recipe. Enjoy!


  • 1 cup quinoa flakes (you can use either red or white flakes; we used a blend of both) *
  • 2 cups Pure Harvest Coco Quench*
  • Pinch of salt*
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon*
  • Toppings: almonds*, pepitas*, chia seeds*, frozen raspberries*, bee pollen*, etc.

  1. Heat Coco Quench in a small saucepan on the stove top. Whisk in the quinoa flakes, salt & cinnamon. Stir often until the porridge starts to bubble gently.
  2. Take saucepan off the heat, cover with a lid & let sit for 5 mins. The quinoa will have absorbed the liquid & should be nice & creamy!
  3. Top with your favourite fruit, nuts, seeds & superfoods! We used chia, almonds, pepitas, frozen raspberries & bee pollen.
